Gartner works closely with the owners and manufacturers of coatings like Sakaphen Si14E and Plasite 3070 to ensure the coating is the correct, best choice for your service. We ask all our clients to send in SDS sheets as well as process information, and we submit this to manufacturers such as, Carboline, Advanced Polymers, Akzo Nobel, Sakaphen and Advanced FRP for lining recommendations. This ensures that you are getting the correct liner and application parameters as required by the manufacture to protect your investment.

Gartner employees follow strict OSHA guidelines for confined space. We can provide all our customers with assurance we will deliver a high quality lining done safely.

ISO tanks are our specialty, and we have specialized equipment for moving and handling without causing damage to the equipment. We have lined ISO tanks and OTRs with many specialty products like Sakaphen Si14E, Hersite P-403L, Plasite 3070, and Chemline 784/32 and 31.

Gartner reduces down time with its specialized heating and handling equipment. Gartner also has the capabilities to be the one stop shop on ISO containers with the manpower to disassemble and assemble the tanks back with leak testing capabilities. We can also offer 2.5 year and 5 year tests on all ISO tank equipment.

Gartner coatings also offers metalizing services for lining of equipment. We have a full range of equipment and expertise on lining vessels with aluminum, zinc, 316L stainless steel, Inconel 625, and multiple other hard wires to improve the efficiency of your process vessel or distillation column.

Architectural Coatings

Gartner Coatings applies Valspar architectural coatings for aluminum paneling and extrusions. These architectural coatings resist dirt pickup, chalking, fading and UV degradation and are available in a broad range of colors.

Protect your building against harmful elements that may exist in moist environments such as salt air with these coatings for aluminum. Many of these architectural coatings meet or exceed all the requirements of AAMA 2605.

We also offer in house color match capabilities through Valspar’s mix and match system.  This is a state of the art system offered by Valspar to a very limit number of applicators.  Our team has 4 full time mix and match operators that are trained by Valspar.  This improves turn around time on your projects and quality as this material can be produced and kept on file for all future repairs or additions to the project.

Metalizing

Metalizing, or Thermal Spray, is commonly used for long term corrosion protection of carbon steel or concrete structures, e.g. valves, heat exchangers, ISO tanks and process vessels. Gartner Coatings provides metalizing services at our Pearland area facilities as well as many customer locations.

Metalizing is a process that can be applied in three distinct ways. Gartner Coatings specializes in flame spray and twin arc methods. These two methods offer superior protection to liquid applied coatings in areas that have hot and cold cycles or areas that are exposed to high moisture like drift zones from water coolers.

Flame spray is a technique that has been developed and used for over 100 years. This method utilizes oxygen and a fuel like propylene to create the flame to melt the wire and propel with air to the substrate. This form of metalizing can be shop or field applied with ease and has greater ability for tight areas.

The flame spray coating method is commonly used for thermal sprayed aluminum (TSA), zinc or 85/15 zinc-aluminum wire. Thermal sprayed aluminum is commonly used on items like pipe, valves, exchangers and pumps. Zinc and 85/15 are commonly used on bridges and interiors of ISO tanks for purity of cargos.

Gartner has six state of the art systems with fully trained and certified applicators trained under the Abrasive Products training program.

Twin Arc is a process that utilizes electricity to melt the wire and utilizes air to propel molten material to substrate. This process has higher bond strength than flame spray due to the temperatures at which the material is melted.

Twin Arc allows you to utilize products like nickel, inconel 625, 316L stainless and many other high-grade alloys for protection on your equipment. This provides protection from not only surface corrosion but also chemical attack from chemical exposure. The interior as well as the exterior can be coated to provide the protection. Gartner utilizes state of the art equipment as well as certified applicators for all your metalizing needs.
